When The Conduction Company quotes your job, you get one fixed price, GST included. The callout, the travel, and the electrical certificate your job needs are already inside it. It does not move.
If the job grows on site, we write a variation and you sign it before the extra work starts. Nothing reaches your invoice that you have not agreed to. Charge-up work is a different basis, and we say so before we begin.

What is inside the price, and what sits outside it
Inside it. The callout. The travel to your property and back. The labour. The fittings The Conduction Company supplies. And the certificate of compliance the regulations require. GST is in the total already, so the number on the quote is the number you pay. Most of the market quotes plus GST, which makes a side-by-side look closer than it is.
Outside it. Charge-up work. Some maintenance and property-manager jobs are billed by the hour, because nobody can scope them honestly up front. That work is never sold as a fixed price, and The Conduction Company says so before it starts.
An inspector in the business, not on speed dial
Most electrical contractors book an outside inspector when a job involves high-risk work. Under the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010, that work is not complete until it has been inspected and certified. The Conduction Company has a registered inspector in-house, so high-risk work done by its other electricians can be inspected without bringing one in. Jordan Statham can also be brought in to inspect somebody else’s work. He cannot inspect work he carried out or supervised, because the regulations do not allow it.

Jordan Statham has been a registered electrician since 2014 and a registered electrical inspector since 2017, and he has supervised six apprentices through the business. We do not test, certify, or connect wiring a homeowner did themselves. We repair ovens, but not fridges, washing machines, dryers, or dishwashers. We install alarms you self-monitor from an app, and we do not run a monitoring station. We fit and replace TV aerials, but we do not tune signal or set up Sky.

How do I check your electrician is registered?
Search the public register at ewrb.govt.nz. Jordan Statham's inspector registration is I 272615. Nobody may do prescribed electrical work in New Zealand without authorisation, so check any quote you get.
Will the price change once the job starts?
Not on a quoted job. Extra work needs a variation you sign before it begins. Charge-up jobs are sold as charge-up from the start.
Do I get an electrical certificate?
Yes, where the work needs one. A certificate of compliance is required for all general and high-risk prescribed electrical work, and it must reach you within 20 days of the work being completed, because regulation 74E of the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010 requires it. The Conduction Company includes that cost in your price.
What happens if something goes wrong later?
