We have used these guys a couple of times and have been very pleased each time. They did what was requested, but also left an immaculate job, with extra touches like labels on the switches for our outdoor lights. We will definitely be using Jordan and the team again!

What a great experience from start to finish. Jordan who came to quote was very helpful and knowledgeable, giving us great ideas for what we could apply in our home. The quote was thorough and detailed, booking was easy, kept us updated the whole time.

Top notch business. Service was A+++. Arrived on time. Technicians introduced themselves on arrival. Very polite. Extremely efficient. Quietly went about their work. Business booking system was great. Quick and well laid out. Payment system likewise, very smooth.

Needed a trustworthy electrician for my mother, TCC had lots of great reviews online so we called in and they made the process very easy. Mum loved the guys who showed up to do the job, the service & the work quality were both excellent. Thanks again and you'll hear from us soon.

Jordan was prompt to arrive & fixed many things for me that had gone haywire over L4 Lockdown - cooktop, expel-air, switches, lights, fusebox, even had a look at my dishwasher, etc. Professional, friendly & helpful - would highly recommend. Many thanks Jordan.

We had Ollie and Kegan install a hanging pendant light in our entry way. They were super professional and did a fantastic job. We had great communication with them, really easy to deal with, highly recommend.

Excellent work done by the extremely responsive team. Max attended to the job at our house and was extremely good and professional. Great job.
Frequently Asked Questions
Alarm System Installation & Security Solutions in Auckland
Can you install sensor lighting at the same time?
Yes, and it is usually worth doing in one go. The Conduction Company installs security lighting as electrical work, so the cabling for lights, an alarm, or cameras can be planned as a single job instead of two visits and two lots of ceiling access. The lighting side is prescribed electrical work, so it is tested and certified.
Does an alarm installation need an electrical certificate?
The alarm's own wiring runs at extra low voltage, and Schedule 1 of the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010 puts work on fittings intended solely for connection to supplies not exceeding extra low voltage outside the definition of prescribed electrical work. The supply that feeds the panel is a different matter. Where The Conduction Company installs or alters that supply, regulation 65 requires a certificate of compliance and we issue one.
Can I arm and disarm the alarm from my phone?
Most modern panels do, over an app. The Conduction Company sets that up as part of the installation and walks you through arming, disarming, and alerts before leaving site. Whether an existing panel can do it depends on its age, so it is worth asking before assuming an upgrade is needed.
Can you upgrade an existing alarm without replacing all the sensors?
Sometimes, and it depends on whether the existing sensors and cabling can talk to the new panel. The Conduction Company checks what is already in the house before quoting, so you are not paying to replace sensors that still work. Where the existing gear is too old to be compatible, we say that upfront rather than finding out on installation day.
Will my alarm still work if the power goes out?
An alarm panel is designed to keep running on a backup battery when mains power drops, and that battery is the part that wears out rather than the panel. The Conduction Company can test the backup battery while on site, because a flat backup is the usual reason an alarm goes quiet during an outage.
Does an alarm system have to be hard wired, or can it be wireless?
Both are normal, and the building usually decides. The Conduction Company installs alarm systems as part of its electrical work, which means cabled sensors where there is access to run cable and wireless sensors where the alternative is opening up finished linings. A cabled sensor never needs its battery changed. A wireless one is much faster to fit into an existing house.
