Will a ventilation system fix the condensation on my windows?
Usually it helps a great deal, because condensation is moisture in the indoor air meeting a cold surface, and a ventilation system replaces that damp air with drier air. The Conduction Company looks at the obvious moisture sources first though, because an unflued gas heater, a dryer venting inside, or a wet subfloor will keep beating any system you install. Where one of those is the real cause, we say so rather than selling you a system that will not fix it.
Do you service a ventilation system you did not install?
Yes, including brands The Conduction Company does not install. Servicing and filter replacement is offered on existing systems whoever fitted them, so you are not stuck with the original installer to keep a system running. A blocked or long overdue filter is the most common reason a system that used to work well stops feeling like it does anything.
Does a ventilation system replace a heat pump?
No. A ventilation system moves drier air through the house and cuts moisture, which makes a home easier and cheaper to heat, but it is not a heating appliance and will not warm a cold room on demand. The Conduction Company installs both, and where a client is choosing between them we work out what the house actually needs before quoting either.

Which ventilation systems does The Conduction Company install?
The Conduction Company is a SmartVent Accredited Installer, and its preferred wall mounted unit is the Mitsubishi Lossnay VL-100EU5-E, which is the preferred option rather than the only wall mounted unit we fit. Alongside full systems we install rangehoods, extraction fans, and heat transfer, and we service existing systems including filter replacement. If you already have another brand in the house, we can still service it, even though it is not one we install.
Is positive pressure or a wall mounted system better?
Where a home has a usable ceiling void and needs several rooms covered, The Conduction Company normally recommends positive pressure as the more practical way to do it. Where there is no accessible void, wall mounted is the only option, and it still covers the whole home. Each wall mounted unit ventilates the room it is in with balanced heat recovery, and the rest of the house benefits as the whole home becomes noticeably drier.
What if my house has no ceiling space for a ventilation system?
Then you use wall mounted units instead, and it is a real solution rather than a fallback. The Conduction Company installs wall mounted heat recovery units in homes where positive pressure is not possible, which covers flat, skillion and mono pitch roofs, raked ceilings, apartments and units with a dwelling above, concrete ceilings, and voids too shallow or awkward to work in. These are sold as whole home coverage, with several units through the house, not as a single room patch.
