Have you been out there trying to find an electrical apprenticeship,
Only to find the market is baron,
And each phone call results in 'not hiring at this stage, sorry pal...'
YAH?
We get at least 3 inbound phone calls a week from prospective apprentices,
And unfortunately - we are telling them the same thing.
Why? because the construction industry has been a nightmare the past couple years.
BUT!!!
The end is in sight. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Everyone's spirits are high for 2026,
Our company has already seen an significant uptick in inquiry in 2026
SO
We're trying something new this year.
A paid internship of sorts.
We don't need apprentices right now,
However - What we DO need, is a workshop assistant.
Someone to pack orders, track stock,
Help with all of the background tasks that are required to keep and electrical company moving.
WHAT THIS MEANS
Part time employment based at our Onehunga workshop.
You'll mostly assist with office/workshop admin
You'll learn about the electrical industry along the way, from the inside out.
As you become more knowledgeable (and as we get busier)
We'll start sending you out to jobs with the team, where you'll learn the ropes.
And If you show promise - we'll begin your apprenticeship later in the year.
You'll have a massive head start in terms of knowledge gained about the industry.
