The brief
A body corporate needed the emergency lighting replaced in an apartment building in central Auckland. The old emergency batten light and the building's existing Spitfire fittings were all to come out. Once the new fittings were in, the whole system needed a full test.
What we did
The Conduction Company replaced the old emergency batten light with a modern emergency fitting, and swapped the building's Spitfire emergency fittings for new Spitfire units throughout. The team also added an emergency light in the sprinkler room.
Outside, The Conduction Company upgraded two external fluorescent lights to 65 W weatherproof LED battens rated IP66, and made a change to the lighting control.
The job finished with testing. On 18 July 2025, The Conduction Company ran a 90-minute discharge test of the full system, and every fitting passed.
